Hi all, we have submitted our permanent partner visa application and got a list of recommended documents to attach.

My husband is immigrating from America, do we automatically have to attach the form 80 or 1221? Or are these just for high risk countries? Will a case officer request these specifically if required?

Also as a sponsor do I have to do the form 40 or is that redundant with it all being online now??

It's all a bit confusing.

The answer is yes on both counts. It is strange that the Form 40SP is not redundant, when your think it should be. I suggest that you lodge the Form 40SP with your application, and then complete the electronic one after applying (you need the application TRN before you can fill the electronic Form 40SP. The Form 80 and 1221 can wait till afterwards.
