Global Process times

Hello! Good day! New member here.

This is about what I've read in Global Processing Times page. There’s a note saying, "Last updated: 15 May 2018 (for month ending 30 April 2018)". May I ask, what does the "for month ending 30 April 2018" mean?

Quite confused about that note. I lodged my 482 subsequent entrant visa last May 12. According to the Global Processing Times page, processing will take 11 to 17 days. But until now (23rd day), I received no update. Just wondering it is because of the note mentioned above.

Thank you in advance! 🙂

Meaning those were the processing times as of 30 April, only they didn't post them until 15 May.

Hi Skybluebrewer, thanks for the quick response! Does it mean that they currently processing April 2018 applications? Or they also processing May 2018 applications?

I think it means that processing times listed are how long it takes for applications to be processed as of the day noted.

No. It means that 75% and 90% of applications are processed in that amount of time listed. It has nothing to do with months applied.

So if it says 18 and 24 months, then 75% of applications are taking 18 months and 90% of applications are taking 24 months as of April 30th.

it doesnt look like a reflection of actual times. i applied on May 4th. still in 'received' status. 11-18 days probably only reflects for accredited sponsors. the number of 482 must have been low in Apr and is now increasing.

There is still an estimated 10% that go over those times. Hence why it's not a 100%.

Kind of pointless publishing application processing averages if they don't show application processing averages.

Your case may not fall within the averages however those numbers are calculated by looking at all applications of that type at a given time... not just "accredited" ones..

Hello Eh? (Love the name btw),
I noticed your application was approved pretty quickly. I was wondering whether you had your police checks submitted in advance or did you wait for them to request these documents? We submitted in April '18 and were asked for Health docs which we have now submitted, now i'm trying to get ahead with my required docs and rather than waiting for them to ask for the police certificates, do you suggest going ahead and applying for them now? My husband and I live in the US now but we used to live in Australia so we'll both get Australian police checks. What do you think you did right to have it approved so fast? :-)
Now that you have had your visa approved, how long do you have until you must activate it by entering the country? Thanks!
