Student + Defacto Partner

I have applied for my student visa (500- higher education) with my same sex partner. I have few questions which are bothering me and i find this is the best place to get answers.

1. The application status is still received and there hasn't been any change to it, is it a problem? It has been 29 days already.

2. I have applied from india ( assessment level 2 ) and we're a gay couple would they discriminate?

3. Can i upload some pending documents after submitting visa?

4. Are the applications from India processed in India itself or in Australia?

The department processes most Indian applications in India. Case officers are not allowed to discriminate on the sexuality of applicants. You do have to demonstrate that you are in a relationship, and that you have been in the relationship for at least 12 months.

Yes you can upload documents after lodging your application.
