Question Can a rejected tourist visa affect future skilled migration application

Hi,

My sister is applying for a tourist visa to visit australia. We think she will meet the temporary entrant criteria but not 100% sure whether it will be approved.

If it did happen to be refused, could the refusal affect future skilled migration visa application?

thanks

It would depend on the reason for the refusal. If it was just for "Genuine Visitor" concerns, it should not affect future applications.

Just make sure that all information provided is correct and will not cause unexpected problems with future applications.

Thank you, yes the only reason would be genuine visitor concerns...even though she will actually be a genuine visitor!

Thanks for the help.
