changes scv holders. If the NZ citizen was in Oz 2001 then their visa status changes to a protected SCV meaning they are classed as permanent residence of Australia. I have just been informed of this by IMMI as we had no idea. I have to withdraw my visa 461 application and believe I can now apply for a 820 but still not 100 % sure, we are looking into this now. sorry for the lack of info but i beleive there is a link on the post further down.

Oh wow that sucks, I'm very envious of people with that status but I guess it doesn't help if you don't know it.
