Architect skills requirement

For any architects in Australia who recently received their PR or work visa, any updates on the requirements to apply for the Architect occupation specifically? I have heard from a few people that you don't need to be registered/licensed to apply as Architect (although we know technically we're not allowed to advertise ourselves as one), however these are applicants from before 2016 and I wasn't sure if that has changed since. The ANZSO info for architect explicitly states that registration/license is required so I'm a bit confused!

Pre-migration skills assessments and registration to practise as an architect in Australia are related but separate processes. Without the latter you cannot represent yourself as an architect.

Great - that makes sense. I wasn't sure because the DHA website doesn't really make clear what constitutes adequate skills assessment (as in to what degree) and only refers to ANZSCO and assessing bodies.

Could you provide me an understanding of what would constitute relevant work experience for the purposes of TSS and/or Skilled Independent? The language is a bit vague, for example, under TSS work experience requirement, work done "outside of a CRICOS registered course of study where undertaken at the skill level of the relevant occupation" is accepted. Is this necessarily post-qualification? Who determines this?

Thanks for taking the time to answer!
