Yes we did it on our own and yes it was granted.

Just do your research and learn from the mistakes of others.

Hello, thank you for your reply. How long did it take you to have the visa granted from the date of lodgement?

Suggest you start reading the immigration website first, then search this forum for "PMV" and start reading other's experiences here.

I know you're trying to get 'free advice' by starting a thread in the forum but remember, we're not professionals and cannot guarantee what worked for us will work for you. Everyone's case is different.
Do you research and seek professional advice when in doubt.

I suggest you look for someone from the Philippines , who lodged their application recently.
Each country and each case is unique, and the Philippines has always been problematical when it comes to granting visas.

I've done some research as well but I am just not confident if I can get a visa grant before our wedding which is next year 2019. Do you think getting help from migration agent will speed up the process? Processing times as seen on home affairs website will take 14 months. I have talked to a visa agent and they said the average processing times based on their experience was 6 months, but i was thinking that was before when it was through papers and not online lodgement.

I didn't use an agent and my grant was ready in just over 3 months. Then got the 820 in less than a month. But like already said, that's irrelevant. But it does go to show you that times aren't slower just because you do it yourself.

Thank you so much. I have done visitor visa application before, never had a visa refusal with my 4 visits to Australia .The time frame of PMV Application is just stressing me out. I hope i would be just lucky as you.

I guess ours is fairly recent. My wife applied PMV300 from the Philippines on Sep 26 2017 and it was granted Dec 20 2017. So a bit under 3 months
No agent used
Don't forget your Filipina will need to do a CFO course after her visa approval. They wont let her out of the country without it.
