Travelling after citizenship application

I have applied for citizenship application in May 2018 and considering current delays not expecting to finalise the application soon.

I am in a situation now where I have an offer in another country (not home country and no personal interest) which helps improve my career further. Its for 12 months and I intend to take up this offer starting December 2018. My wife (no AU citizen) will continue to stay here in AU.

I will be travelling back to AU frequently while I work there and can manage to attend the test anytime.

I have been working here full time since last 4 years with 1 year in AU government.

Do you think this would be an issue? I have called IMMI and they advised they are not aware of any travel restrictions post application except I have to be here at the time of approvals. I have no intentions to settle any where outside AU.

Hey Nazz1

Have you found an answer yet? I am also planning on travelling after application at the end of the month and I'm curious about the practicalities.
With you I think it helps that your wife will be here to show your intention to settle here....
Regards Mietsie
