Guide Please (Child visa 101)

Hi,

Me, my wife and elder son are PR189 Holders. We have been blessed with another baby boy last 10Oct2018. We r planning to lodge Child Visa 101. I had some initial concerns. Hope you experts can guide.

1. Both of us (parents) are planning to migrate. So should we both be Sponsor or only first applicant? So in the forms both of us be sponsors?
2. Sample of Court Order or affidavits for sponsor to claim legal rights to decide where the child should live

Thanks
Tohid

Why would you need court orders or affidavits in order to decide where the child will live if both you and your wife intend to live in Australia?

It's mentioned in the checklist of VFS. May be I have misunderstood.

"If the child is under 18 years old, original evidence (eg. a Court order) that the sponsor has the legal right to determine where the child shall live OR affidavits, contact information
and ID from all persons with such right stating that they have no objection to the migration."

Thanks Russell.

Unfortunately in my country that's the only option. I'm now in Bangladesh. VFS is my only way...

101 must be lodged by paper. You can deal directly with any Australian mission by international courier.

Hi Russell. Thanks for the input. The nearest Australian high commission that we have is in another country India. I am left with

1. submitting application by sending documents to Australian high commission in India and do the biometrics/medical through VFS here in my home country
2. Pursuing the whole process with VFS.

I am in a fix now. Can i get any help on choosing an option?

Thanks a lot for all the efforts u r putting in.

Thanks
Tohid

Hi Tohid,

So did you end up sending documents directly to high commission in Australia or via VFS in India for child visa 101, hope you soon get the positive outcome of the application good luck
