Can I apply for a new assessment in ACS?

Hello everybody:

I applied for GSM 175 visa on july 2009. For this purpose I had been assessed as a "Applications and Analyst Programmer" (2231-17 ASCO Code) by the ACS on Septembre 2008. Unfortunately this code is not in MODL list now.

Now I want to use my skills in .net technologies to get the 2231-79 ASCO Code and change my application.

Questions:

- Can I apply for a new assessment in ACS and get another ASCO Code?
- What are the requirements for "2231-79 ASCO Code - Specialized in net technologies"?
- Can I use the same application, changing the old 2231-17 ASCO Code for the new 2231-79 ASCO Code, or I have to start a new application?
- I have heard that ACS o DIAC can review my old documentation and reject the changes because they are "contradictory" (according to ACS clasification, 2231-17 is different from 2231-79, but this is not true, a person can be both). What do I have to do to prevent that?

Thank you in advance

Lucho

Who did you hear from?
We've had other threads re people deciding on different IT classification and best you get it from the horses mouth I suspect - email ACS re alternative assessment and concerns over contradiction.
It could be that will say based on evidence you previously provided re experience, you are now attempting to say you had different experience.

And you do need to also show consistency with Immi, no scams interested in there.

I have written an email to ACS but they have not answered yet
ACS have an extensive FAQ and they may hope that you'll have a good read.
But.
Sure you can apply - they may fail your application
They have their expectations of peoples experience and you need ro realistically do a self assess on whether you feel you could pass or otherwise it could be a waste of time and money.
New application.
Contradictory -

If you look at it from a logical point of view:
A guy says in an application I've been doing this and that in this job etc.

Now all of a sudden he says I've been doing these other things!

That may well be true but you need to provide evidence in way of employer statements to convince ACS assessers.
