Temporary Skill Shortage (subclass 482) Relationship breakdown

My friends partner has been sponsored for Temporary Skill Shortage (subclass 482) visa. Their relationship has now broken down. Some questions on his behalf.

1) Can this be appealed? (If there is no child or violence involved?)

2) Can a refund be applied for if this has been paid for by both parties equally, is not his choice and will have to leave the country?

3) If a trip overseas was planned within the 28 day notice period can he still come and go within that period?

4) If he can get a sponsorship in this period, can he still go on the overseas trip if the new visa becomes a bridging visa?

Thanks in advance.

1. I'm not sure what he wants to appeal. If he's here on the basis of his partner's visa and they're no longer in a relationship, then he no longer has a right to be in Australia.
2. There's no refund. He can ask her for money to reimburse him for his portion of the visa, but that would be up to her.
3. If his 482 is still valid he could come and go within that period.
4. If he has a valid 482 or a bridging visa B, he could travel and re-enter Australia.
