IMMI s56 - dept has address wrong - 820 visa

Hello All

Need some help with IMMI s56- request for more information.

The dept has used wrong house address in the official mail while asking for more information for 820 processing. we have written back to them about the error. the address is unheard of and never used in application.

everything else is accurate including name,DOB,application ID, file ref etc..

has anyone else faced this issue?
how long did it take for them to reply back?
will this affect the 28 days turnaround time provided or will that be reset?

kindly help , thanks !

I certainly would still reply within the 28 days.

Maybe it was them replacing information from a previously filled out email and forgot to change the address? No idea but I wouldn't wait for them to respond about the error (as in my experience with immigration, they probably won't).

Thanks for the reply Skybluebrewer!

But out of the 2 things they asked 1 is for rent receipts/tenancy agreements for the wrong address explicitly. For the correct address we have already uploaded all of this with latest rent receipts etc ... so what to do ?

I'm no professional, but if I were in that position I'd probably reupload the tenancy agreements along with a statement explaining their error in the request with the wrong address.

I would put in an official complaint, that way it can not be internally swept under the table.

But here is the kicker -

the second doc they need is a police cert from SINGAPORE, now the problem with SG is that you cannot ask for PCC without official letter from the requesting authority.
Now i do have the letter but the address in the letter is wrong as mentioned above and will not match any address proof i need to submit with the application.

Mention this in your complaint.

I had them try send an email to my sister mistakenly was meant for me, but like Sky (above) they got the.com bit a little wrong.

Now my sister refused to supply copy of passport for the 888 she did for us (application Russia) and would only give a photo of her D/L she did not trust them.

This mistakenly sending personal and confidential information to wrong people confirmed her no trust.

The official complaint did not affect our application.

Where do I make the complaint. The processing centre seems to be Manila.
