Private Health Insurance

Just wondering if anyone knows if a temporary resident is covered for anything under Medicare or is Private Health Insurance the way to go.

If Private Health Insurance is required who would be the best Provider and does anyone have an idea of the cost.

I did briefly look on the internet but could only find private health insurance for working visa holders nothing for subclass 300 visa holders.

Many thanks and best wishes to everyone...

If we are concerning about the safety of our vehicles and other assets, then why not we bother about our health. The amount of your coverage is also dependent on whether you have coverage under Medicare Part A, Medicare Part B, or both. Medicare Part A typically pays for your inpatient hospital expenses and Medicare Part B typically covers your outpatient health care expenses including doctor fees.

If your a temporary resident I wouldn't be looking at iselect as they only show Australia unity as an option. Have a look for a 457 visa comparison site for a larger list of providers in Google.
