I have a couple of questions regards the character limit for the relationship statement for the online partner visa application:
Firstly, I believe I am right in thinking that you can get around the 2000 character word limit by simply writing 'see attached PDF" or something similar in the boxes on the website and then uploading them separately?
Secondly, if I choose to do it that way, are the relationship statements then uploaded as PDF's during the initial application when you pay the fee, or are they uploaded as supporting evidence once the initial application has been made?

Yes, you can do that. Personally, it was my belief that they kept it at 2000 characters for a reason (because they don't want to read a novel). When I copy and pasted my boxes into a Word document (just to see the length), it came out to about two pages (and each box within the app was pretty much full), so I would say if you were going to write the statement separately, you'd want to keep it at about that, 1-3 pages that cover all the questions from within the app.
Hello, does anyone know what is the right way to provide supporting evidence for the Relationship Statement?
For example, I was going to write "please refer to page 8 of 'Travel Pictures 2018'". For each point I have proof for, I would refer them to a document in the Immi Account.
I may be wrong but the 2000 character limit is, in my opinion, not 2000 words, each letter or symbol would be one character? In the box I am going to put see attached statement and provide a PDF as an attachment which I am expecting to attach after I have submitted the application and paid the fee.
I used an agent and this is exactly what they did on our application - "See attached statements and documents"
