Partner Visa

Hello there,
Anyone here waiting for offshore Partner Visa. I'm from Philippines and we applied in Vietnam last August 2018.
I just wonder when are they going to read our application, we're getting frustrated waiting.

It would most likely be processed in Manila. You might have to wait another 6 months or so.

Hi Unfortunately you still face a long wait, the current processing time is 14 to 19 months.
Here is a link to the current waiting times, they change frequently and are an indication and not a guarantee. Good luck with your application.

hi Russell,

I guess my partner clicked 100 instead of 309. - is that a reason why our application takes a llong time?

You apply for 309 and 100 at the same time, so I can't see why this would be an issue

You can't lodge the stage 2 (sc. 100) documentation, unless there is an approved sc. 309 visa in the system. In other words, you can't lodge a sc. 100 application by itself. The Visa Application Charge is related to the permanent sc. 100 visa, but is paid when you lodge the combined 309/100 application. Your VAC receipt and acknowledgement letter will tell you which visa you have apllied for.

The waiting times are getting longer! we applied from the philippines in 12/2017 and received approval for both 309 and 100 in 7/2018 - around 6.5 mths!.
Be patient - you can always send an update of your circumstances - nature of our commitment, household etc so the department have a continued dialogue of your developing relationship.

Manila is now also routinely processing onshore applications ( 820/801), which would add to their case load and increase processing times.
