Refusal of Visa due to Medical Condition

Asking for a friend.

Scenario: Applied Partner visa 820 and brought child as dependant.

Initially child was thought to have TB but it turns out to be more serious so he/she is undergoing IV treatments.

Is there a chance that primary applicant will be refused the grant of the visa due to the medical condition of the dependant?

The short answer is yes.
Your friend is in a minefield and should consult an experienced registered migration agent without delay.

I've seen the following two names repeatedly pop up for MARA agents/lawyers who are experienced at helping applicants navigate the health requirement:

George Lombard

Peter Bollard

Hope that helps.

I have only ever seen one other name mentioned and only once.

I have also seen that one of the above (I do not recall) fees were very very reasonable considering their reputations in the health/visa area.
