Visitor visa subclass 600

Hi me and my husband applied for visitor visa subclass 600 for my mother on 21/02/2019, my mother visited about 8 times to Australia on our sponsorship. She always followed the visa rules.
This time when we applied got a s56 request on March 5 th 2019 to show the evidence that i am the daughter of the applicant.
We provided the documents on immi account on the same day.
Haven’t heard anything since then.
Why did we get this enquiry when they have a track that my mother visited us so many times?
Is there any way to make this happen any quicker as my parents are planning to visit us for 15 days during Easter holidays.

Hi - my experience with the immigration re: tourist visas is that even if they are 'supposed' to have all the ravel info on an australian tourist, I don't think they actually bother looking. Recently, my sister-in-law's tourist visa was rejected for not complying with being a "genuine tourist" when she has been travelling here since 2006 and has NEVER broken any of her visa conditions. I re-applied within 3 days, but this time addressed the ground for visa rejection. I think it was question 18 on the online form. I documented all her travels in a Word document, tabulated with date of visa approval, entry and exit dates on passports, travelling alone or solo.
Within the week, we got a visa.

If I were you, always re-submit all necessary documents. Do not assume they look at previous files/records because honestly, I do not believe they do! And it is also a case of lottery .... you get some good and sympathetic case officers. And sad to say..some who really do not care less.

All the best.

Its depends on visa officer. First time my father got visa next day after medical while my mom got after 1 month. They applied at the same time. Wait for the visa, moreover you can call immigration department with your visa file number. Cheers
