I was on a 457 visa for my employer for a little over a year and was recently made redundant. I am hoping to find a new employer to take up my 457 visa, however I want to make sure I am considering all my options in the event that is not possible before my 60 day time limit is up.
I should qualify for the 189 or 190 visa as I understand the requirements, however I do not know how applying for them will work while I am on my current visa.
My main concern is whether or not my 60 day clock will impact my ability to be granted a new 189/190 visa - what if the visa application is lodged but the visa is not granted before my current 457 visa expires?
