Permanent Resident Question: Help I am in a tricky situation!

Hi everyone, hope you guys are well. I am in a bit of a tricky situation and I am seeking some advise, and would be grateful for some guidance.

I completed my Bachelors Degree in Perth, Western Australia in 2008. Since I have graduated I have moved to Sydney to work.

I work in Advertising as a Film/Video Editor and have worked my way up to Head of Department in the last few years.

I have been on several 457 Visas, I say several because i have had my fair share of abusive employers, and employers that had to go under, so i was lucky enough to find another to jump on to keep going, but not long enough to apply for my PR through.

I was with my last employer for awhile, and even had my PR application lodged, all the boxes were ticked. I applied through the 186 Direct Entry stream as i have done 3 years with that employer. Unfortunately i was made redundant this year, and my PR application had to be withdrawn after a few months of being in the system.

Its been a struggle after 10 years coming so close, yet luck has not been and have been somewhat on my side, nonetheless its been a struggle.

Now I am back on my original 457 and don't have much time before i need to find another sponsor, my time is coming close to an end.

I am a Malaysian, and have been trying very hard to get my PR sorted, my question really is do i have any other options besides employer sponsorship? My skill doesn't seem to be on the list at least when i last checked (Film/Video Editor), I am here on my own, and my partner is Malaysian too.

Hope there might be some glimmer of hope or guidance if i have any other options to get hold of my PR? Thanks guys.
