457 Cancellation

Hi everyone!!

I hope I can get some impartial and correct advice, as I don't seem to be able to elsewhere!!...

I am currently on a 457 Visa and have had to change sponsors, due to business closure. I have found a new sponsor and we submitted the nomination application, however it was refused on the grounds they didn't do correct labour market testing. I'm now 2 months over the 60 days but am trying to get a new nomination application submitted before I receive my letter from immigration.

My main questions are:

1.Has anyone got any experience with the BVE Visa? I know it's the worst of the bridging visas (no work, travel, study etc), but how often do they permit working rights if you apply for hardship? If I have a partner that has a moderate salary, are they more likely to refuse?
Also is it usual that they make you check into the immigration offices periodically (I read on the immi website that could be a stipulation to this visa), but just wondered on what grounds they'd request this?

2. Does anyone have any experience of submitting a sponsor Nomination application without using an agent?

Thanks so much in advance for any advice anyone can give me!!

The sponsor is the one who should be lodging the nomination. The visa applicant should really not get involved in this process.

Unless the sponsor has experience with nomination applications or has a HR person who does, I strongly recommend they get professional assistance.

In my experience most sponsors are poorly equipped to deal with the nomination process.
