Request for More Information - VISA 820

Hi there,

I have received a letter requesting for (AFP) clearance National Police Check & Police Check from my country.

Could you please let me know how long it took for you guys to be granted with the PR after sending those docs?

Also, please, for the police checks from overseas translated into English need to be certified for a JP??

Many thanks.

I received my 820 grant 4 days after submitting the requested information. However, I've seen others wait months after submitting. Currently, I submitted requested information a month ago, and still waiting for the 801 grant. It's really hard to say how long it will take. At least they are requesting it, which means you'll likely get a grant soon.

Not sure about the translated documents being certified. Hopefully someone else who knows about that can answer your question.

Regarding the Police Clearance:

Any document in a language other than English must be accompanied by a certified English translation. A translator in Australia must be accredited by the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters.

You DO NOT need these to be certified by a JP - the certification relates to the above paragraph and is done by the translation service.

Cheers
