Im not an MARA but i can check it for free if you want. I applied for my partner visa through an MARA so i have an idea what you need to include.

Thank you everyone for your ideas & Thank you very much for your kindness RG123 !!

It is illegal in Australia for anyone other than registered migration agents to give advice on any application other than one they are directly involved in.

Very few RMAs are interested in the liability involved in assisting with DIY applications.

I take it your RMA doesn’t mind you apply their advice to a third party?

Other than that, are you qualified to “ check” someone else’s application and personal statements ?

That’s not what you said originally. I was not questioning if it was legal or not. I was just wondering if you were qualified to advise the OP on his statement.

If you ask any MARA agent, they will all tell of clients who've come to them for help to rescue botched DIY applications, so of course they do the right thing and recommend that people get professional advice.

I have explained clearly what I thought was the best solution for the OP and also why I don’t think it is a good idea for an unqualified third party to provide assistance on the basis of the advice they received for their own application.

If you want to read anything else into it, then that’s your business.

I'm only reading what is written or implied. This is a public forum clear for all to see.

Talk about it. Not to sound too dramatic, but it's come to a point where humanity is compromised for money.

You are publicly making insinuations about my integrity and honest intentions.

I am just warning unqualified people about providing hands-on
assistance with some else’s application.

I am actually on holidays. Not that it is any business of yours.
Just a recap, the comments speak volumes...I rest my case.

You missed out the most important relevant comment being referred to.

When taken in context, it makes things more relevant to the average reader.

You just gotta get the last word in, even if it's pointless. I personally would be embarrassed seeing all those comments. It's kind of school yard boorish...

Yes, you should be embarrassed, since you started all this nonsense. You can either let it go or keep digging.

Maybe we should just stick to the original topic and forget about all the other stuff, which is of no help to the OP at all.

One of the reasons RMAs are reluctant to review/ edit someone’s personal statement is that you would need to take into account the entire relationship history and cross- check the statement against relevant documentation and other supporting statements. It’s actually quite involved.

This is definitely not something people should get involved in unless they are qualified to do so. Advising someone on the basis of the advice you may have received for your own application is simply not a good idea.

As I stated before, if it is just a matter of grammar and spelling, write it in your own language and get it translated professionally.

If you are not confident about the application being up to scratch, by all means try and find a RMA to assist you and be prepared to pay the appropriate fees.

You responded to me initially and unwarranted, and kept at it, as you will probably continue to do so. This thread would not be very reassuring to me if I were a prospective client. But carry on....

Some topics just make you drink beer - but this I am sure is not the same one.

I think you are confused on the context. That comment was from the OP, the member who offered to help did not state they were going to change anything and then added another post clarifying that. The bigger issue is that there is such vociferous resistance by some towards those offering help.

DHA makes their visa application much more complicated than need be in comparison to other western countries, but it's not quantum theory. If one can understand English and comprehend instructions and peruse forums such as this one, it is fairly straight forward. There really should be no reason to have to pay additional for services to interpret it. There are too many middlemen in society now such as brokers, agents, etc. skimming off hard earned dollars.

From my reading, the main points being made were to ensure that people knew that it was not OK to do what the OP said: "and feel free to change/delete/add any thing which you think better."

You have indicated another poster might be breaking the law, when you said: "would you not be at risk of breaking the law"

The "resistance" you mention has only been to a very few issues, where things could easily go wrong if followed.

Most of the comments from the RMA's on here are very helpful. And they rarely disagree with most people and the information they give on this forum.

This is a mountain from a molehill.

Not everyone can understand what is needed, hence why so many refusals happen.
It is unfair to put those people down.
Some people need Migration Agents help, whether you feel like you do or not.
