Prospective Marriage Visa APPLICATION

Hi, my fiance and i applied for a prospective marriage visa last year 16th September 2018 and we are still waiting for a visa grant and immigration has not contacted us yet. My fiance and i have a 50 yrs age difference.... Do you think this age difference will negatively affect our visa grant despite our relationship being genuine? Can immigration deny us a visa because of this? Please advice

As long as you are able to prove the relationship is genuine, the age difference is not something that can reject you on.

It may cause extra checks and therefore longer time.

Immigration will only contact you if they need more information. Many grants are done with no prior contact.

Some PMV's are taking 9 to 12 months at the moment.

What country is the applicant from?

Achieng sounds super Kenyan or Tanzanian depending on the border carved out by them colonial peeps. There's a Kenyan thread @Achieng titled 309 application from Kenya, it has some PMV's discussions on there as well.

All the best in your application.

Current processing times for a 300 visa are 12/16 months, so you’re still well within that time frame.

While they can’t deny based on age, they can based upon the proof submitted in your application. Make sure you have a solid application and you should be alright!
