Software Engineer | ACS | PR

G’day,

Hope you all are doing well.

I'm in process of starting my ACS assignment (Software Engineer),have 11 years’ experience (7 years offshore and 4 years AU onshore) as software engineer starting Jan 2008, wondering if you could assist\guide me with below queries -
-
- Completed Engineering in Electronic and Communication, India - How many years will be deducted by ACS, Do I need to prepare RPL?
- I have recently moved from 457 visa to 482 visa and both the visa were granted for Software Tester – 261314 , I’m planning to apply for ACS under Software Engineer – 261313 ( as my overall years of experience is closely related to software engineer ) – will I be get positive result from ACS.
- I have got my R&R from my current and previous companies with Software Engineer duties on company letter head.
- If I get positive result from ACS as Software Engineer, will there be any challenges raised as my work VISA was granted on Software Tester code.

Cheers,
Sailaja.

If your qualification is assessed as comparable to an Australian degree (by CEP) and covered sufficient, relevant IT content, as assessed by the ACS, you can expect to have 2 years relevant work experience deducted.

Most of the information you need, except the assessment level of your degree and your expected immigration points score can be found on the ACS website.

To advise you about these matters I would need to undertake an asssessment of your academic transcripts, employment certifications and your skilss assessment outcome letter.

It might pay you to consult a registered migration agent for an assessment of your skills assessment prospects and your overall visa prospects.
