489 to 887 waiting period - No response

Hi Folks, I have applied for 887 in Feb 2016 after complying with the condition of 489(relative sponsor). Had few emails on uploading some of the documents within 6 months of an application. I thought my file will be finalised in few months. But unfortunately, I am still waiting for the outcomes. The department is not responding to my emails and it’s been more than 2 I had a last email from the dept asking for police clearance. The status of my application is “further investigation”. Anyone could advise what course of action we have if department is not responding to our email.? Greatly appreciated for your time and comments. Thanks

From the department:

887 - Skilled-Regional (subclass 887)

75% Of Visas Processed in 16 months 90% Of Visas Processed in 17 months

Without knoing the fact of your case I cannot offer a considered opinion.

You might want to consider: a FoI request to get you entire file, the ombudsman, your local Federal MP, an email to the minister's office; not necessarily in that order.
