Partner visa if planning to live overseas?

Hi there,

Im planning to apply for a partner visa with my aussie girlfriend but we are both applying for uni scholarships in europe for next september.

Are we allowed to leave the country and live somewhere else while on bridging visa? Is it worthed go through it if we are planning to move somewhere else in one year?

I have obtained bridging visas B for up to 12 months for people who went overseas for work after lodging a partner visa onshore. You may want to consider though if you won't be better off lodging an offshore application, especially if you are considering moving to Europe already in September. Note that you may have to return to Australia on short notice for the visa grant.
