Contacting Pretoria office

I applied for a PMV using an agent, but I plan on contacting the Pretoria office regarding the delay in the processing of my visa. My question is this, is it right for me to contact the Pretoria office myself or it has to be my agent contacting them.

If you have an agent then you should allow them to do the communication- that is what you hired them for after all. You will muddy the water if you try and establish another channel.

Dog and barking - if that’s still a thing!

Send a message via Skype™ to CCMS
If I was the agent, I’d cancel my engagement if you contacted the processing centre directly.

I usually warn them the first time, notwithstanding the following clause in my service agreement:

24. If we are informed that you have contacted relevant authorities directly, without us advising you to do so, or you decide to act on your own behalf we will cease to act in your case.

As you are still well within average processing times you wouldn't get any response anyway

Please update your flag here .

I am using an agent.l informed my agent that l will be contacting Pretoria direct because of the stress caused by the prolonged waiting times.l contacted Pretoria and put my ref no on the subject.l got a response immi requesting for some docs and l fowarded the response to my agent. My agent followed up on what the immi requested. Sometimes agents are too reluctant in following up .they believe in waiting to hear from immi. I think sometimes being quite immi thinks you are all good with the wait and they dont realise how the prolonged waiting mentally affect you and your partner. So l think it is an individual decision on what to do , and l do not see any harm in following up with Pretoria , especially after waiting for so long .

I once had a client (a sponsor) who phoned the case officer and demanded an immediate decision. She received one and my advice was to lodge a review application. I heard no more for a couple of years, when I was requested to ask my client (the visa applicant) to undertake a medical examination. I emailed the delegate, cc to sponsor, that I had no further instructions and to deal directly with the parties involved, presumably another RMA. That is as close as I have come to a finalised partner visa refusal.
