Visa options

I am a 32 years old mental health nurse in the UK and would love to migrate to Australia. However, I know the most state in Australia would need nurses to have at least 2 years’ experience which I don't have at the moment as I have been qualified since March 2019. However, I checked that New South Wales needs just less than 3 months and besides I am not claiming a point with my work experience. Is there another state that would be inviting candidates to apply?

Secondly, I have checked the point system and I scored more than 65 as I am migrating alone, and I have a master’s degree. I hold a British passport, but I am still writing the English test as I did not do my high school in the UK. You can do the point-based system too but when I calculated them, I scored about 70. Points were allocated to age, master’s degree, single, English test was 10 points as it was proficient.

Thirdly, does the Tasmania state needs a minimum of two years’ experience as well? I am likely going to get a job offer in the next week. If I don’t get a job offer in Tasmania, what are my chances? Is there a chance that I can apply for the 491 visa if I get an offer for Tasmania which comes out from November 2019? or Do you think I will qualify for the 190 visas even though I don't have the 2 years’ experience but having said that I am trying to explore my options?

As a migration professional, I would normally allocate at least 3 to 4 hours to answer these type of questions. I definitely would not be inclined to answer them off the cuff on a public forum.

if you decide to go it alone, please be prepared to have to invest a lot of time into detailed research, not only into the different visa options and requirements, but also into skills assessment issues and the additional requirements of each state and territory in the case of state nominations.
