Red face Traveling while waiting for visa 309 offshore

Hi guys! I really need help. I applied for a tourist visa 651 on January 2019 and travelled to Australia until April for less than 3 months. On June we applied for a partner visa 309 offshore and I will be traveling to Australia on November again (we want to spend Christmas time together). So my two questions are: Can I use the same tourist visa I was granted on January? Should I inform the Department that I intend to travel to Australia while my visa application is being processed? Do you know where or how is the way to inform immigration about it? Thanks a lot, I am very confused

Yes you can use the same visa. You are supposed to keep your contact details current. This can be done in your immi account.
