Citizenship

Hey all
I have applied for citizenship on 27/6/19 and when I check the progress of my application it still says received.
Just wanting to know if anybody knows the current processing time or has anybody been waiting a similar length of time.

Thanks Neal

Depends on when you got your Permanent Visa. I arrived in May 2015.

I applied and did the test already.

Patience, my friend, patience... I submitted mine in January 2018 and the status still says "received". It's very normal for this to take well in excess of a year.

These are the application dates of some that had ceremonies in Sept/Oct 2019

15/03/18. Ceremony was after 17.9 months (10.1 months application to test)
17/09/18. Ceremony was after 12.0 months (7 months application to test)
20/09/18. Ceremony was after 12.4 months (9.4 months application to test)
27/12/18. Ceremony was after 8.8 months (1.3 months application to test)

It varies a lot on your location. Some areas are much faster.

Then you were eligible to apply citizenship in May if:

1. You never had a gab without visa since 2015.
2. You have not spent more than 12 months overseas over the period of 4 years.
3. You have not been absent from Australia for more than 90 days over the last year of your 4 years stay.

I arrived in May 2015 and applied in May 2019. Exactly 4 years from arrival date.
