Correcting A Mistake on Application

Hi There,

I recently discovered a couple of errors on my application which I need to correct.

I know you can do this in your Immi Account by doing Update Details.

My main question is, do you then also need to fill put a 1023 Form and attach that to your application?

Or is changing the details on your Immi Account enough?

Many Thanks

Once you have submitted an application it is 'locked' against editing.

Only some items can be updated in your ImmiAccount, depending on the type of application.

Some errors are fatal and some are inconsequential. All errors should be corrected as soon as possible; if possible.

Which errors are considered fatal and which inconsequential?

Depends on the visa application subclass and the type of the 'false or misleading' information provided.

The topic is far too broad to be dealt with on a public forum.

In some cases, to avoid a visa refusal, it is possible to withdraw an application (and forfeit the visa application charges) and reapply..If you want specific advice about your issue, you might identify the visa subclass and the information of concern, or run it past a registered migration agent.

For the PMV application of my wife we did three 1023 in total and the PMV was granted.

Making a 1023 cannot be a bad idea at all. In doubt, you should do a 1023. At least one of our 1023s was a rather silly little detail but we just wanted to leave no doubt as to the veracity of our story.

Case officers have a paperwork fetish; the more forms you give them he happier they are.

Thanks for your reply. I know that my error can be edited because I have already seen the option and processed the change.

My question just related to whether I also needed to back this up with a 1023 form as well?

If the OP posts the particulars, or at least the nature, of the errors to be corrected a useful answer might be posted.
