Skilled Assessment - Early Years Teacher

Hi,

Hope you all got okay into the new year.
My first post, so apologies if I end up breaking a rule {Iíll try really hard not to}.

Iím a state-approved educator, Kindergarten/pre-school, from Germany.
I want to move permanently to Australia at some point next year.

Now, I do not have a sponsor or anyone who can nominate me.
Looking through the potential Visa options Iíve narrowed it down to:
Subclass 189 - Skilled Independent Visa

So far so groovy,
But while checking my skill assessment I have noticed that the body responsible for my assessment Ďaitslí noted in one the criteria a minimum of 4 years higher education {uni} that results in initial teacher education qualification {abridged version, as I cannot post links here a rough description}.

aitsl.edu.au home page - docs - assessment-for-migration-forms
afm-checklists/afm_earlychildhood_checklist.pdf

The problem I have is that the usual study period in Germany is set for 3 years, on a vocational college, at least back when I was studying.

Any teachers among you or anyone familiar with the aitsl service who could answer questions regarding to this criteria?

I also wonder if I just add an additional year of higher education to meet the 4year minimum requirement? Any further source for info would be appreciated.

Thank you

If you do not satisfy ALL the AITSL criteria you cannot qualify.

Thanks Westly.
I was hoping for a more in-depth answer, as I try to find a work-around while still fulfilling all the main criteria. Hope that makes sense.

Check the AITSL website for the applicable criteria for your case at this link:
