Document upload mistake - Partner visa 801

Hi All,

Long time reader, first time poster...

I have just lodged our Stage 2 - Perm Partner visa application (801) and after submitting the application in our Immi account I went to attach all our documents and was only given the category option of 'Other documents'. I went ahead and attached all our documents under the 'Other' category, but labelled them quite clearly ie. FINANCE - Joint Electricity Bills 2018 - 2019 etc.

I've just explored the site a bit more and when I went back to the 'attach documents' section a whole load of different categories for adding documents came up, including 'Financial aspects of the relationship, Evidence of' etc. with a whole list of drop downs to choose from to specify the document type. I'm worried now that all our documents have been uploaded in the wrong category. They're all attached to the application but not necessarily in the sections they should be.

Basically, I guess I'm just hoping someone can ease my mind that the CO won't reject our application because the docs weren't technically uploaded in the right category. They should easily be able to find everything and it's all labelled pretty obviously. The guidelines make it very clear that you shouldn't upload documents more than once, so I'm not going to re-upload them again, but has anyone else done the same thing??

That happened to us. We did everything into 'Other'. Then added later things into correct categories, but left the original stuff where it was..

The visa was granted.

Thanks JandE, that's eased my mind (and congrats on the visa grant!)

If I received one dollar each time someone asked this question in this forum I would have enough money to pay your visa application anyway just like JandE we did exactly the same mistake and it was granted.

Maybe we should put a sticked thread at the top of the forum that answers this question.

Haha sorry allergiac . I searched this forum and Google before I attached the docs to check if 'Other' was the only category, but couldn't find anything so assumed it was right.
