Hi, I can't seem to find anything related to my case on the site while searching this amazing site, here we go with my first post!

So, I'm from the USA, and I've applied for the PMV Subclass (300) around April 2019, and at the moment I'm in Australia on a tourist 12 month visa. sub (600)

Just today I got a letter letting me know that I need to start arranging travel plans as they want to finalize the our case (finally yay!!) and I need to remain outside of Australia for at least 3 full business days (US time), no problem.

But, what my partner and I wanted to do was to visit the USA and Mexico for family and friends, 2 months in the USA and 1 month in Mexico, but we don't know if we can exactly do that since reading the "What you must do on this visa" section on the subclass (300) page on homeaffairs.

It states "Enter Australia by the date specified in your visa grant letter"
Once we receive the visa grant notice, will the date specified on the grant force us to come back before our trip is finished, or will we be able to spend the whole 3 months traveling?
Or does that statement just means to re-enter Australia within the 9 months of stay the Visa (300) gives on grant and get married?

We really wanted to visit some family members, but otherwise it looks like we should just make a trip to New Zealand for a couple of weeks.

We are probably just overreacting, we just want to get everything right,
thank you for reading our text book wall!

Hi congarts i hope your pmv will be granted soon.
i have submitted our PMV in March 2019 and at the moment i am in Australia on a tourist visa 12 months multiple entry '(travelled go-back every 3 months while waiting for PMV to be granted) but i havent got any email from them like what you did
may i ask you when the first time you submitted your visa application, did you provide all the visa requirements all-in together ? how bout NOIM? did you book a marriage celebrant to get NOIM soon after you submitted all your documenys? sorry if i asked too much questions, so curious why i havent so lucky like you
