Credit Transfer proof for Graduate Visa 485

Hello. I need a little clarification regarding the accurate way of demonstrating credit transfer in my Graduate work visa 485. I recently completed a 2 year degree in Australia and it meets all the Australian Study Requirements. Further details:

1. I started studying a 2 year Masters degree in February 2018.

2. After the first semester (July 2018), I changed my Masters course to another degree in the same University.

3. I received direct credit transfer for the 4 subjects that I had already studied as both the degrees have the same 4 subjects in the first semester.

4. I recently received my course transcript as well as completion letter from the University. The transcript does list the 4 subject that I had already completed prior to changing course. However, my completion letter shows the start date of the course that I actually completed, which is July 2018.

I wish to understand how I can approach this scenario while submitting my Visa 485 application so that the Case Officer understands that I actually started studying in Australia in February 2018 (this date is not mentioned anywhere). I do not wish to provide impression that I don't fulfill the 2 year study requirement. I recently completed my degree in December 2019.

Thanks in advance for all your help. Apologies if this has been asked before but I could not find a relevant post or information online. Cheers!

Maybe try and ask them if your first 4 subjects are eligible for some kind of a Grad Cert(if they have one)? Then maybe you could use both of them together to prove your 2 year study requirement.

But personally, I believe you can point out the fact that your first COE has the first start date you mentioned and you did in fact study them.

You spent two consecutive years to study those subjects in Australia and every subject that you have done makes up the whole degree.

I’m pretty sure you can write a letter explaining the issue and put the COEs and point out the similarity in the two degrees and I’m sure they will read. When I applied for 485 I only attached 4-5 documents so its not too much for them to read a bit 😀.

Thanks for your suggestion!

Does your uni transcript not show the date when you studied those units?
