Question Changes to the Partner Visas?

I read on a few websites that there are some Partner Visa changes upcoming but nobody is sure when they will come into effect. These changes would be very bad for me because my substantive visa would expire and it would make the process much more difficult (as the Sponsor would need to be approved first before going onto Bridging Visas).

My partner and I are planning to apply at the end of April and I am worried that these changes will come into effect before then.

Do you think I should be worried and do you think the government will inform us a few weeks before it would come into effect? Or will it just happen suddenly?

I am assuming that they will give notice as it is a big deal. I will keep up to date with the news about Partner Visas.

Many thanks in advance,

Kind regards,
Daisy

Either is possible. Sometimes they give some notice and sometimes they do not. Personally, I would always err on the side of caution and assume it could change with little or no notice.
