left in a hurry...forgot bridging b!help?

Hello forumers. I am new here.

I have applied for a 485 visa in December but left australia very soon after in an emergency situation (uncle passed away from a cardiac arrest) I forgot to inform my agent and left without applying for the bvb (i was in a horrible state of mind)

My student visa expired in January. So far I haven't heard anything about the 485,so i contacted my agent yesterday (only then was i reminded about the bvb situation ) He said to apply for an ETA immediately and I managed to get it granted!! He said its perfectly okay to come back in on this visa.

Now my only worry is, will this visa allow me entry as he mentioned? Will they ask anything if i book a one way ticket? i'm not looking at working until my 485 is granted.
