Tourist visa after applying for 309

Has anyone applied for an offshore partner visa and then a tourist visa to have visit their partner in australia? How long do they usually approve? 6 months? 12 months? And is it multiple entry?

It use to vary a lot and often 3 month stay periods.

Problem is there will be no flights very soon for passengers.

I have seen few people getting one year multiple entry 600 tourist stream (including ourselves). Some get 3 months only. Some get refused. I suppose, this depends on the case officer, AHC and the strength of the partner visa application.

Everyone tries it and it's completely random whether you'll get it or not.

Within about one week, every passenger flight into Australia will stop.

Not only at the moment is 14 day self isolation required on arrival, but also at each boarder crossing in almost every state.

If allowed into that state.

The time to travel is over - complete lock down is not far in several places.

Sorry but it is fact.

We did this way. Applied for 309 and then for a visitor visa. They gave me a multiple entry 12 month visa.

They might be if they have proof of spousal relationship, such as a 309 application.
