Extension of TSS Visa

Hi forum members,

Just wanted to know what is the process of extending or renewing a TSS visa provided under 'medium term stream'.

1. Around the time of the expiration (I was given a 2 year medium term TSS visa), can we apply for a renewal or extension?

2. If yes we can extend or renew, for how long can we extend further? Is there any limitation to it?

3. What if my visa expires before the renewal/extension is completed? Do I have leave AU and come back again?

Thanks in advance!

Australian visas cannot be extended, a new visa must be applied for.

I thought we can hold a single grant of TSS visa for up to 4 years. And that it’s only the short term stream which can be granted for only a max of 4 years (2+2 onshore).

So if we have to apply a new visa, would we again go through the labour testing etc? Also would I be getting a bridging visa because I’ll be onshore when my visa is about to expire.

For a considered professional opinion, may I suggest that you consult one of the registered migration agents who posts on this forum?

I think you are a registered migration agent correct? How do I connect with you for a consultation?

There's a link to Westly's company website in his signature. If you click the link, you can use the contact form on his website to arrange a consultation.
