Marriage certificate

I am an australian citizen but got married to a non-citizen overseas. Do i need to register my marriage in australia?
I do have a marriage cert from overseas.

Also is ielts required for partner visa or citizenship?

As many have discovered to their dismay, marriage is given little weight in assessing whether a relationship meets the criteria for a partner visa application.

May I suggest that you consult one of the registered migration agents who posts on this forum for an assessment of your case?

The two most useless things in Australia are marriage and blinkers. Anytime I used any of them, it had no effect whatsoever.
