Tourist visa (600) and partner visa

Hey! Hope your all doing well ✨

I just have a few questions that I’m hoping someone can help me with in regards to VISAS (again) 🙄 I’m sure many of us are in the same situation

My partners visa runs out at the end of August 2020, he’s been here nearly 12 months on a single entry tourist visa. We where both planning on moving to Bali for a year but obviously that plan has crashed due to Covid 19 (so sad) Im hoping to apply for a new tourist visa here in Aus and then after that apply for partner visa. I’m worried about the following:

• If he gets granted an extension, will this affect the partner visa application OR future visas?

• If his next tourist visa has the “no further stay condition” is it possible to still apply for a partner visa or what would happen in this situation?

• Has anyone successfully received a new tourist visa here in Aus recently and how long did you get granted for and were there any specific conditions?

Any information / experiences you have on this will be greatly appreciated ❤️

Please don’t comment saying “he had warnings to go back” because it’s not easy to just send your loved one “back” to his (less safe) country when there’s a world panademic happening 🙃

TIA everyone!! 😇✨

I applied for a new visitor visa 16 April and still waiting on a bridging visa
We had a 3 month travel and return visitor for 2 years but COVID19 screwed that!
Still waiting for the new visitor and nearly two years waiting for the PMV 300
I doubt a NFS would be applied in the current climate
Visitor visas don't normally affect partner visas unless you breach the conditions
Good luck!

Thank you! I know a few people who are waiting on a new visitor visa due to not being able to return back. They got a bridging visa straight away after applying. Has the current visor visa expired yet?

Best of luck!

No I can’t. As I’ve been on the partner visa before and my 5 year wait isn’t over until next year.
