My understanding is that you must meet the requirement of being the Carer of an Australian relative at the time the decision is made, so if the sponsor has died they no longer need caring for, and therefore you no longer meet the requirements,
However I am not a Migration Agent, and if you find yourself in that situation I suggest you consult with a Registered Migration Agent ASAP

If there is no sponsor, the application must be refused.

Hello everyone!

My Aunt has passed away recently, i notify the immigration about the changes in my situation. I got the refusal notification from immigration. My bridging visa will expire after 35 days. I seek an advise for migration agent and they told me that I cannot applied onshore any visa because of the refusal. I just want infairness in my part that I can apply any visa here in Aus. My vase is very peculiar. Is there anyone can help me here.

Can section 48 be waived based of my personal circumstances? My visa was refused because of the death of the sponsor.

s48 cannot be waived. There is a very short list of applications to which it does not apply. If you consulted an agent, they would have explained which ones.
