E Mail from sponsor state

Dear all,

I am on a Regional Sponsored 489 visa. I arrived in 2018 and have been living and working in a regional area of Australia as my visa requires that.

However I did not move to my sponsor state. My agent confirms that I can live and work in any regional area and not just at the state that sponsored me.

I have been receiving numerous e mails from my sponsor state requesting I register on their state portal.Since I did not move to my sponsor state, I did not register on their portal.

Also I never received any official request from DIBP requesting me to do this. Although the domain name was in the state (I think so), how am I to confirm this isn't spam ?

Anyway will this is any way affect my application for Permanent Residency in the future?

Hope to hear from you all. Thanks.
