Hi guys,

Hoping someone can help me here. I'm very eager and am trying to submit my citizenship application today which should be the first day I'm eligible to lodge it - however I'm getting an error message on the immi application saying:

"The applicant is unable to proceed with this application. Access the Residence calculator to check when the applicant will have been in Australia long enough to be eligible for Australian citizenship.".

I have checked the residence calculator numerous times before and it tells me that I should be able to lodge it from today.

If anyone could please help and let me know if I'm missing something I'd appreciate it. My dates are:

07/07/2015 - arrived in Australia on 417 working holiday visa
31/05/2019 - 801 permanent partner visa granted

Time spent outside of Australia since 07/07/2015:

22/12/2017 - 08/01/18
30/09/2019 - 28/10/19

You need to have been a permanent resident for 12 months. If im looking at your dates correctly you became permanent on the 31/05/19. Today is 30/05/20. You're a day short

I thought that was the case but when I've put my dates into the residency calculator on the immi site it says that I can apply today. You're probably right but I just found that strange!

Based on your timeline and visas history, you are eligible to apply 31st May (Today) or after that date.

Your absence does not affect your eligibility to apply.
