Skilled - Recognised Graduate Visa Subclass 476 - Initial Entry Date COVID-19

Hi Everyone!

I have been granted the Skilled - Recognized Graduate Visa subclass (476) and as per the initial entry date , I have to enter Australia before 30th September, 2020. However, I doubt international air travel is going to open in Australia or Saudi Arabia before that due to COVID-19.

I tried contacting the Australian embassy via email, but they just give an automated response related to COVID-19 situation. There is nothing in there about allowing TR visa holders to enter the country or about any extension of initial entry.

Anyone have any advice? Is someone else in a similar situation as me.

It is possible to apply for a variation of an IED.

I have a similar issue. It took me 4 days to get it resolved. Here’s what i did, i hope it helps. I sent an email to [email protected] requesting for my IED to be extended due to the covid-19 pandemic related travel restrictions. To my utmost surprise, i received a letter from the consulate early this morning, notifying me that my IED has been revised to September 4th 2020
PS; my IED was originally 4th March 2020 and not arrive after 22nd May 2021
