Translation of my Birth Certificate

I am going to apply for 309 visa and will need translation of my birth certificate into English.

I have found translator and my question is, is it enough for me to send her scan of my Birth certificate and she will translate it into English or does she need to actually see it,so she can make official translation into English which will be bound by translation clause?

She asked me, which one I may need for this visa, as she can make both. At the moment I sent her only the PDF scan without the original as thought it may be enough.

Thank you for the answer.
