Visa 116

I have been asked to provide additional evidence for my brothers Carer VISA 116. My son has special needs and i have sponsored my brother on carer visa 116.

I have been asked to provide supporting evidence of any claims being made by these people (eg evidence of the extent of family, work or study commitments or medical evidence if relevant).

What does this mean?

I have provided Statutory Declarations from all required people, medical records have been provided, Bank statements have been provided, photo evidence has been provided, school statements, GP statements, hospital statements, service provider evidence - all provided.

What is other means of evidence that can be provided to support the case as to why my brother needs to stay here to help me care for my son.

You have to satisfy the minister that a combination of available public resources and family support is not sufficient to meet the identified needs.

In 116 cases a first instance refusal is not uncommon.
