Rrv 157

Please need your valuable advice, i had an PR176 which expired in 2015. I managed to do my first entry in 2011 and stayed for 2weeks, i couldn't travel Within the stipulated time frame due to my wifes health condition( repeated miscarriages), i don't have any substantial ties With Aus, i am seriously planning to shift now with my entire family. Pls advice if the VISAs are processed now and also what are the chances.
Appreciate your help. Thank you

It would probably benefit you to contact a registered migration agent as you don't meet either requirement for a RRV.

Thank you EH for your reply., i will seek advice from a good agent.
But generally there is no chance under compelling reason we can try, we had genuine reason to delay like multiple miscarrages and undergoing treatment, during the same time my mother in law passed away, financial burden due to these ongoing issues..

It may be worth a try. Was your wife included in your original PR ?

You don’t apply for a 157 visa you apply for a ‘resident return visa’ and if you don’t meet the requirements for the 155 you are assessed against the 157 criteria. You cannot meet the requirements for the 157 if you have been outside Australia for the last 5 years, so you need to meet the substantial ties test of the 155. As Nick said, it’s worth a try, but get some professional advice specific to your circumstances.

Yes, RRVs are being processed.

If you are getting professional help, rely on it rather than second guessing it ...
