Visa 462 extension

Hello,

Please advise, I'm holding visa 462 and it is alomosr expires, if I'm unable to fly out Australia and want to do extension. I have to submit the documents to do extension or the visa will be automatic extended in this time since the Covid 19 please?

Many thanks
Kanie

I highly doubt the visa will automatically get extended. You may look into visa 408 Temporary Activity visa (COVID-19 Pandemic event) if you are working in a critical sector an unable to leave Australia. Otherwise, you could consider student visa if you wish to extend your stay.

There are no automatic extensions.

If you want to stay lawfully in Australia, you must apply for a new visa.

If you are not eligible for a second or third WHM visa and you are not working in a critical sector for COVID-19, you should apply for another visa. This will allow you to remain lawful until you are able to return to your home country.

Depending on your circumstances, you may be eligible for a Visitor visa (subclass 600).
