Thumbs up From Visitor Visa 600 to 820 visa viewed negatively?

Hi folks, I've tried to search through the history to not trouble you for a good answer on this but couldn't find it.

Putting the pandemic to one side. In usual circumstances, is it frowned upon/can it impact the decision - if one applies for the partnership visa 820 off the back of a 3 month tourist visa 600.

I know the tourist visa can have a 'no further stay' limit on it, however even without this limit, does it hurt the decision process of the application? As this is not the purpose of the 600 visitor visa.

Thanks

If you had an RMA, you could ask them ...

It is a perfectly acceptable and common pathway for a partner visa.

The sponsorship approval prerequisite to apply for the 820 may close that pathway. Im not sure if waiting times will blow out like the waiting times of the actual visa itself.

Take professional advice about applying sooner, rather than later.
